On connecting nightclub like podiums the debut Rihanna for River Island collection was launched at London Fashion Week autumn winter 2013. Co-designed by River Island designer and costume designer, Adam Selman, the collection featured a 90′s inspired urban lineup of crop tops worn with gold body chain jewelry, slouchy pants, dungarees, spaghetti strap lycra dresses and skirts (both with thigh high slits), hoods, baseball caps, hoop earrings, bra tops, boyish denim, hot pants, sweats, hooded jumpsuit etc. Very much in the style of Rihanna, the well styled collection exuded street wit, sexuality and a juxtaposing boyish laid back attitude. The singer took a bow at the end of the show with Adam Selman.
