Entitled ‘Glam Rock’, the Diane von Furstenberg fall 2013 with a backdrop of revolving mirrored panels and set to Chaka Khan’s ‘I’m Every Woman’ was DVF through and through. The collection with its lame, croc embossed jackets, wrap suede dresses, bold palette (shocking pink, turquoise, ), gold leather, prints (the house revisited the chain print both in the brand’s signature color blocked hues and in graphic white and black), wide leg jumpsuits, the use of suede, halter neck maxi gowns, the layered animal print and 70′s inspired tailoring envoked the glamour and exuberance of the Studio 54 era. From the opening of the show with Cara Delevingne in a wrap dress to Diane von Furstenberg’s shimmying walk at close, this collection was pure disco glam and no one quite does joyful disco glamour quite like Diane
